Alterations and expansion of this penthouse apartment located 550ft up in the sky on floors 43 and 44 of a New York City Historic Landmark building on Madison Avenue.  Modifications included removal of a large section of the existing exterior masonry wall for a new opening between two floors; framing to support the new floor; and infill of existing opening over the aluminum framing.
