Murray Engineering was consulted directly by the Archdiocese of New York to provide evaluation of the existing façade and roof conditions in preparation for the most recent restoration work on the exterior envelope. Unique to midtown New York, this 1878 National Landmark Building is not mandated by law to receive periodic façade inspections. Acting responsibly, the Archdiocese consulted with Murray Engineering and our team of consultants to review options for scaffolding, inspection, cleaning and repairing the cathedral. Creative scaffolding, sequencing and restoration recommendations enabled the Archdiocese to move forward with a full program to maintain and repair this historic building.
