The Webster Avenue Development is a new residential community development of two adjacent buildings, the Webster Residences, and Park House, to provide affordable housing for low income families and formerly homeless individuals. The development was design by Architects Cook + Fox Architects to support the developer’s, Breaking Ground, innovative mission to end homelessness. The two buildings are linked by a large courtyard and feature green roofs with gardens with Webster Residence’s accessible for the tenants.
Located at 4275 Park Ave the Park House is 12 stories with a cellar building featuring a total of 247,000 SF and providing a mixture of affordable efficiencies to three bedroom apartments. The Webster Residence located at 411 East 178th Street is 8 stories with a cellar with 101,860 SF. The structural systems of both buildings consist high strength concrete block bearings walls and precast plank floor systems. Both buildings are currently under construction and are projected to be completed in late 2017.
